We are pleased to announce that Custom House Workers’ Co-op have secured their first contract with Eat16 Cafe in Canning Town. Sarah Ruiz, business manager, has this to say about the Co-op:

“CHWC provide a cleaner for EAT16. They are efficient and if I need anything else done at any time they are always willing and available. It’s a pleasure to use a local service employing local people.”

Angela Fields, founding member of the co-op and cleaner at Eat 16 is pleased to start work after several years being unable to find work. Angela said “I was very happy to get the 1st contract. I did not ever imagine being a worker-owner of my own business. Its the best thing ever!”
