PEACH and Rosetta Primary School have teamed up to introduce a course of workshops for parents with children at the school. Parents are looking at what the children are taught in each year, and which methods they are being taught so that they are better able to support their children with their homework.
Starting with 4 maths workshops in the run up to Christmas, parents are looking at addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and learning the different ways teachers get children to learn these skills, which are often very different to what we learnt when we were at school!
There are still 2 weeks left but the workshops have already got off to a great start with 16 parents attending, one of the best ever turnouts according to Mr Poole! Everyone who takes part will be rewarded with a certificate at the PEACH End of Year Celebration on Friday 16th December.
If you’re interested, look out for Sadia and Denise in the playground or speak to Mr Poole.
