As part of the London Housing Trust’s Community Conversations project we were delighted to be asked to host a community discussion on the issues which matter most to social housing residents.
The discussion was intended to inform the London Housing Trust and the Mayor of London’s Office about the views and priorities of social housing tenants so that these can be taken into account as part of the Mayor’s ambition to built 88,000 new social homes across London.
We had a diverse range of residents attending who discussed questions such as ‘what does suitable and appropriate housing look like’ and ‘how can we ensure that people feel safe in their home, and around their local area’. We generated some brilliant responses from residents and look forward to receiving detailed feedback from the Housing Trust as part of the project.
Thank you to those residents who attended the session for their feedback. We’ll be looking to advertise the details of a follow-up session shortly.
