Listening to the views of residents and the local community is at the very heart of what PEACH is about. Over the last few weeks we have held a number of events to hear the views of residents on the issues that are important to them.
At the beginning of April, we held our first ‘Community Conversations’ Event, where members discussed housing related issues – the issues raised during this session were submitted to the London Housing Panel and the Mayor of London’s Office to shape the Mayor’s housing plans for London. On 29th April, we held our second ‘Community Conversations’ Event which focused on issues affecting our community such as crime, fly-tipping, and green spaces, with the discussion helping us to ensure that we are focusing on the issues that matter to you.
We are starting a full door knocking programme around Custom House and Canning Town, getting around as many houses as we can to listen to your views. If we haven’t visited your street already, we’ll soon be on our way!
