PEACH exists to build the power needed to address the main issues facing the people of Canning Town and Custom House. We organise to make decisions about our lives with us — not for us.
Our Vision
We want respectful, thriving neighbourhoods rooted in dignity — where people live in homes they can be proud of, feel safe on their streets, share communal spaces full of life, and access good jobs that offer security and worth.
A Legacy of East London Organising
The Docks closed. The jobs left. But our communities didn’t wait for rescue—they organised. From the 1889 Dock Strike to the Mears Cats campaign, Custom House has always stood up.

250 homes returned to council control after a 4-year campaign.
Custom House Workers’ Co-op launched for local fair work.
£300,000 in rent arrears written off for struggling families.
9 Safe Havens created and a community Shopkeepers’ Charter introduced.

Street-by-street repair wins organised in Normandy & Hoskins blocks.
