Community safety, dignity and pride in public space
Clean Streets is about safer, cleaner and more welcoming public spaces. Guided by residents, we’re tackling fly-tipping, pushing for better lighting, and creating a visible network of safe shops and streets. It’s about pride, safety and collective action.
Neighbour-Led Clean-Ups
Residents regularly organise clean-ups to clear litter, report fly-tipping hotspots, and restore dignity to neglected spaces. These events build trust and stronger connections across our streets.
Safe Shops and Safer Routes
We are developing a network of safe shops and pressing for improved lighting and safer routes. Residents are mapping hotspots and working with partners to make streets less vulnerable to crime and neglect.
Restoring Pride
We aim to reclaim micro-assets such as community noticeboards and small pieces of unused land — turning magnets for fly-tipping into spaces of identity and care.
