After PEACH and Rosetta partnered to run a 4-week course in Maths for parents in the first term, Mr Poole, the Community Cohesion lead, at the school described the workshops as the most successful they had ever had and after listening to parents it was decided that GPS would be the next subject to tackle. In each course parents have been taken through the curriculum and looked at the methods used to teach the children, so they are better equipped to help there children with their learning at home.
Ms. Begum, the Year 5 and 6 Phase Leader, who led us through the GPS course said:
“It was very useful to see how much parents care and wish to be involved. The parents provided a fantastic insight into a child’s and parent’s perspective to learning – I thought it was brilliant! Collaboration leads to success!
PEACH and parents will be meeting again with Rosetta to see how we can move forward with more successful workshops.
