PEACH Housing Club voted to set up a Community Land Trust a few months ago, to build on all the work done so far on the Alternative Regeneration Plan and now it has a name!

At June’s Housing Club meeting 40 residents got together and voted on what they would like to call our new Community Land Trust (CLT), after an initial tie, we had to do a second round of voting and we can finally announce that the winner is: E16 Community Land Trust

What are Community Land Trusts?

CLTs are community owned organisations that exist to benefit the community in lots of different ways, usually by providing housing that really is affordable for people to live in and that stays affordable forever. CLTs can also manage land, or local businesses depending on what needs there are in the local community. PEACH Housing Club members will be working to set up E16 CLT in the next few months, so watch this space.
