Earlier this year young people from across Custom House and Canning Town took things into their own hands and gave the green spaces around their homes some love! They worked together to design and build community gardens around Burrard Road and Hands Walk, learning valuable skills. They planted an orchard of fruit trees, bulbs for the spring, flower beds that flower all year round and benches for people to relax on. While the Council has neglected their green spaces, they showed everyone how things can be done differently.
